UniCon Campus Safety Guidelines

UniCon is committed to maintaining a secure, respectful, and scam-free campus network for university students in Nigeria.

Accommodation & Hostel Inspection Safety
  • Never transfer any deposit, caution fee, or agent inspection fee without visiting the property in daylight.
  • Always go for room inspections with a fellow classmate, course mate, or department friend.
  • Verify the landlord or student tenant credentials before committing to any rental agreement.
  • Report suspicious accommodation listings immediately using the Report button on the listing.
Marketplace Meetups & Exchanges
  • Meet only in public, well-lit campus areas: faculty buildings, campus library grounds, or student union centers.
  • Test electronics, calculators, and gadgets thoroughly before transferring payment.
  • Communicate within UniCon direct messages to keep conversation records intact.
Account Security & Data Protection

Your passwords and authentication credentials are encrypted using GenMB Auth and never shared or logged. Personal contact information (phone numbers, personal emails) are not made public unless you explicitly choose to include them in your bio or message.

Reporting Violations & Harassment

UniCon does not tolerate harassment, impersonation, hate speech, or spam. Any student account violating university codes of conduct or these safety rules will be blocked and investigated. You can block any student directly from their profile to immediately hide their posts.
